Nike Dunk Low SB Buck Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

Phil Knight is a University of Oregon alumni. So, Nikes are always going to be dropping with their team colors. One such example is the Nike Dunk Low SB Buck. The shoe has Phil Knight’s old college nickname “Buck” stitched on the upper rear of each shoe.

I for one love the color combination of green and yellow, having grown up in Oakland during the heyday of the A’s in the 90’s. In fact, when that newer baseball-themed pack of SB’s dropped, I actually passed on the Oakland pair as I thought these were the superior shoe!

These are silver box dunks and the quality reflects this. Nice premium green suede is offset by smooth white and yellow leather. The materials and build on these is definitely representative of the quality of Nike SB in 2003. If you know anything about this era of SB Dunks, or just follow my blog, you know that these are anything but disappointing in terms of construction.

The Nike Dunk Low SB Buck fit true to size. It goes without saying that these are extremely comfortable, and with the suede around the toecap I might have even been able to go down half a size. These definitely aren’t stiff like newer dunk SB’s.
