Air Jordan 7 Sweater Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

I like the AJVII although I don’t have too many pairs at the moment. On these Air Jordan 7 Sweater, the pattern is based off of a sweater Michael Jordan wore in a commercial.

These skip the flashy tongue patterns of other 7s in favor of the sweater pattern on the shoe.

If you have a bunch of 90s looking clothes of the Coogi variety, you may be able to throw them on with these. For those with only a modern wardrobe to work with, these are good kicks to wear with bball shorts or dark pants and a black hoodie. A black/white fit is probably the safest bet if you’re at a loss for how to rock these.

I always regretted selling off my Nike Dunk High SB Huxtable – so when these came out, I had to cop… for redemption! Overall, I’m definitely feeling the look of the shoe, and with the included black oval laces, these are actually low key somehow, despite the wild pattern.

How Are The Materials?

I’m not sure if these are supposed to be part of the “remastered” series or not. I’m not seeing any tumbled leather but the materials still seem on point. Basically we have smooth leather all over with the sweater pattern being this kind of odd shiny textile. It reminds me of that material that you might find at a grandmother’s house on a flowery couch.

How Do They Fit?

These Air Jordan 7 Sweater definitely feel a little more snug to me than other 7s, so I wouldn’t advise sizing down. I would stick to true to size on these for best fit. At true size, these are definitely comfortable if not a little snug.
