The Nike Air Max Plus Hyper Blue is back for 2025, bringing with it one of the most iconic OG colorways from 1998. Some even consider this to be the definitive Air Max Plus, and as a fan of the model, I had to complete the OG set alongside my recent pickups of the Sunset and Voltage Purple pairs.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Sunset” is one of those pairs that’s been around for decades but never really gets old. Originally dropping in 1998, this colorway has made its way back a few times over the years, with retros in 2014 and 2018. With this latest version, Nike brings it back with some slight tweaks—because of course they did. The gradient leans a little more yellow up top, and some of the reflective 3M hits from past versions have been swapped out.
