I haven’t picked up a pair of GR dunk lows since the Porcelains. This pickup, I’m rocking with, the Nike SB Dunk Low Jade Horizon.
The shoes get their nickname from the colorway.
These are a pretty straightforward dunk. One thing of note is the all gum midsole/outsole, which has not been done too many times on the SB Dunk Low. These ship with white and pale green sets of laces but do not sport any additional special features.
At this point in time (late 2019), SB’s have been selling out instantly, even GRs. These are no exception so if you spot a pair at retail and want a pair, definitely do not hesitate to pull the trigger!
How Are The Materials?
I was expecting rough or even sandpaper suede with these, and making my peace with what I thought would be a compromise to get this colorway. I’m pleasantly surprised! While not exactly lush or buttery, the suede is soft and seems to be of a good quality. I think people familiar with the typical Nike SB GR level of quality will definitely appreciate the materials on these dunks.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike SB Dunk Low Jade Horizon are comfy at a half size up from my normal Nike size. Whereas I’d get a 10 in Jordan 1s, I opt for a 10.5 with these. I find that while they fit a little big, the larger size means the discomfort is nonexistent and these are great right out of the box with little to no break in. This particular pair might be a little more forgiving at true size than most releases, given the entirely suede upper.
