Dreamland

This shoe is inspired by Area 51 and extraterrestrials in general.

These shoes feature a special box with Area 51-inspired designs, a plastic cover for the sneakers inside the box and silver holographic looking paper. The three Saucony Dots, outsole, midsole splatter and heel all glow in the dark. There is a graphic of a heatmap on the insole and the back of the shoe has an iridescent piece with an embossed “FEATURE” logo underneath. The Feature branding is also seen on the insole and tongue tag. These come with sets of black, black/3M speckled and yellow laces.

I’m glad I picked these up! I haven’t gotten a pair of Saucony in a while. I just sold off a few pairs, but I’m excited to once again have a pair like this in the collection! Even if the theme/meme is rather played out at this point, this shoe remains a solid addition to the long list of dope Saucony collabs.

How Are The Materials?

This shoe features a ton of different materials. The pair is mostly perforated nubuck and suede with some areas being tumbled leather. The upper part of the back of the shoe is patent leather and the heeltab and piping around the Saucony “S” are 3M. The materials are really nice and definitely do the collab justice. The sneaker isn’t the butteriest out there compared to the legendary materials found a Made In USA New Balance. The crazy mix of textures and overall quality help make these absolute bangers!

How Do They Fit?

I went with my true Saucony size of 9.5 on these Feature x Saucony Shadow 5000 Dreamland and these fit snug but comfortably at that size. For reference, I wear a 10 or 10.5 in most Nikes. If you don’t like that snug retro runner fit you could always go up a half size and the shoe should still look great on feet. Overall I find these to be very comfortable and very similar to many other retro runners I’ve reviewed in the past.
