I remember picking up a few Tape Box releases in the outlets! This was a glorious time if you wanted SBs for the low. Many of those colorways have only increased in value. Some of my favorite non-outlet releases from this time include the Red Supremes and Petoskey Lows.
This is probably the time period that I sold off the most pairs though thanks to the comfort levels. They really didn’t improve them vs the Blue Box era that preceded.
That said, many collectors love this time nostalgically for the high availability of SB Dunks. It was the last recent period during which SB’s were common and easy to find, as the brand began a resurgence in hype during the end of the Teal Box era.

DJ Clark Kent devised the pack that this shoe is based on back in 2008. This includes some AF1s, AM1s and Air Trainers. The Nike Dunk Low SB 112 keeps the pack going with the same colorway and some nice details.

Hopes were high for the Nike Dunk High SB Send Help 2 after the success of the black box Send Help release. Unfortunately for Nike and designer Todd Bratrud, these weren’t nearly as popular as expected and went on heavy discount everywhere. However, sometimes the shoes that are not a big splash initially wind up going for big bucks later – life is all about irony!
