Nike SB Dunk Low Red Supreme Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

Valentines day usually means red and white attire. I’ve got a few pairs that fit the bill, but this year I’m going with the Nike Dunk Low SB Red Supreme, which is one of three Supreme collab dunk sb’s that I own!

These didn’t drop with the rest of the Supreme lows back in the day but instead came out in 2012 as kind of a throwback to the original 2 dunk SB’s done in collaboration with the mainstay streetwear retailer. They even came with a special Supreme hangtag!

Of course, hype was huge for these when they dropped and I wound up having to spend quite a bit to acquire a pair down the line after they released.

Materials

These came out in the tape box era, so the quality of the materials is simply not that good. The leather feels cheap and plasticky without a doubt. This is definitely not a shoe to get based on quality. It’s all about the colorway and the Supreme name with these.

Fit

These fit true to size and are pretty stiff and uncomfortable. They don’t even look comfortable! I’m not going to lie, I really liked the colorway and I’m a fan of Supreme so I grabbed these as more of a collector’s shoe. I can stand chilling in these but walking around for too long or doing anything else but standing there, it is pretty quickly noticeable just how inflexible these are. Definitely only grab these if you want them as a collector’s piece.
