The Air Jordan 1 “Team Red” (referred to as “Artisanal Red” on SNKRS) brings a clean and classic colorway to the AJ1 lineup, with rich, deep red overlays that pop against the white leather base.
I’ve always liked the Team Red shade, and this release really leans into that old-school look. The basic but clean color combo makes this is a solid, wearable pair of AJ1s that should age nicely with wear.
Jordan 1s have been seeing more shelf-sitters lately, which makes it a great time to scoop colorways like this on discount. These were going for around $125 shipped on Finish Line when I picked them up — hard to pass up if you’re a fan of more toned-down, easy-to-wear pairs.
The maroon box with the white Nike logo is a nice touch that complements the shoe well. You also get both maroon and white laces in the box, allowing for a bit of a switch up depending on what look you want to go with.
Materials
Materials are what you’d expect from a standard Jordan 1 GR these days. The white leather is aight, while the red overlays feel a bit softer with quality on par with other recent drops. Nothing premium, but everything is stitched together cleanly and looks good in hand.
Fit & Comfort
Fit is true to size for me. Like other recent AJ1 releases, these are slightly roomier than older retros, especially around the toe and midfoot. Comfort isn’t anything wild, but I find newer pairs more wearable out of the box. No major break-in needed. These are fine for everyday wear if you’re into the AJ1 shape and feel.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
