Saucony Shadow 6000 Betta Pack Coral Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

People sleep on Sauconys so much that these Saucony Shadow 6000 Betta Pack Coral are basically on sale everywhere.

Good thing too, because these are dope! Saucony is of course the #1 “come up for the low” brand and these are no exception. They’re based off of Betta fish (AKA Siamese fighting fish) and came out as a pack with a blue and yellow pair.

The shoe is comprised of mesh and suede with a leather “S” on the side. The suede is not plush, but it isn’t quite sandpaper either, I’d liken it to Shadow 5000 quality. Still, I feel like these are more about the comfort and the wild colorway than about premium materials. And it’s not like the materials suck, they just aren’t lush like other pairs of Sauconys I’ve reviewed.

The Shadow 6000 is super comfortable and fits true to size. Having a mostly mesh upper with suede holding it all together translates into a shoe that fits to your foot a bit, while still maintaining that dope old school pointy toe retro aesthetic.
