Saucony Shadow 5000 Olive Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

Low cost but dope sneakers? Can’t stop, won’t stop! These Saucony Shadow 5000 Olive look a lot darker in person than they do online, but otherwise we add another dope pair of Shadow 5k’s to the collection for cheap!

I’m really digging the lighter green and red hits on the otherwise brownish upper. Definite fall colorway, but what the hell, supposed to be gloomy out today so it should go anyway!

Pretty much standard felt suede with mesh and the leather logo to top it off on the side. Shadow 5000s are definitely more about the simplicity, comfort and retro shape than they are the quality materials, at least on GRs. That’s not to say the materials are thin and cheap; they’re just not buttery like a pair of premium kicks, or even a pair of Saucony Originals.

The Saucony Shadow 5000 Olive fit true to size and are very comfortable. One of the hallmarks of this shoe is simplistic comfort, which these have in spades. At this price point, you definitely need to have a look at the Shadow 5K if you are looking for comfort and retro shape!
