Nike Dunk Low SB Flash Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

These complete the orange box colorway trio that includes these Nike Dunk Low SB Flash, Sharks and Lodens.

Collectors group those dunks together because of the similar construction and color blocking.

These look great with dark or light denim. I think a dark top is necessary either way. Be careful wearing tons of orange with these. They already provide a good amount of orange “pop” and it is easy to go overboard. Unless you’re attending an SF Giants game, that is.

There is a reason that Flashes are so well known by collectors and highly sought after. The colors on these just pop right off the shoe and of course I’m stoked to have these SB grails in the collection. They put stiff newer releases to absolute shame and if you’ve never tried an older SB, you will be blown away by these!

How Are The Materials?

As per most orange box releases, these epitomize dope materials on an SB. Nice soft suede/nubuck covers the shoe with a leather swoosh for texture. All the materials on these are quality, and it’s no surprise that collectors still search these out. Be aware that you can get eyelet rub on the toebox thanks to the black dye and the black suede can fade over time. Other than that, these shoes hold up well.

How Do They Fit?

The Nike Dunk Low SB Flash are extremely comfortable. I went true to size. The comfort of older SB’s cannot be overstated! It is tough finding newer dunks that fit as comfortably.
