Nike Air Force 1 University Red Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

If you haven’t noticed, I tend to go on binges where I buy tons of the same model. Right now, I’m big on AF1s and this Nike Air Force 1 University Red GR is evidence of that.

There is literally no reason for me to own this shoe. I have plenty of red and white sneakers, including a pair of AF1 highs and even a pair with the same shade of red! All that aside, this happens to be one of my favorite color combos and I was able to catch a crazy deal on these, so in the collection they go!

The materials on these actually aren’t bad! While it’s not the butteriest grade ever, the entirely leather upper is soft and consistent throughout the shoe, with a solid build. There is nothing too spectacular about the shoe to talk about, but often times, simple is good!

The Nike Air Force 1 University Red fits a half size large like pretty much every AF1 out there. The shoes are blocky but comfortable – on this particular pair the white outsole adds to the chunkiness of the shoe’s appearance, but doesn’t affect the comfort.
