Saucony Grid 9000 Grey Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

While I’m a big Saucony fan, I’m a bit picky with Grid 9000s. The Saucony Grid 9000 Grey is such an interesting colorway, I had to cop!

I couldn’t tell if it was a light blue, bone or offwhite color on the upper. To be honest, I still can’t tell really! Regardless what color my brain tells me these are, they definitely stand out as nice light colored summer shoes. I’m definitely looking more and more at Grid 9000s as options because they tend to get slept on and go on sale.

These are made out of mesh and synthetic leather. The leather has a pretty soft texture to it, almost like a nubuck but not quite. The materials are not as good as some collaborative Grid 9000s that have released, or even the Spice pack pair I reviewed a while back. Still, the materials are at least somewhat decent and the construction seems solid enough.

How Do They Fit?

These Saucony Grid 9000 Grey fit true to size and are super comfy! They tend to look a lot bigger on the shelf and in the box than on foot. I did have to do a bit of reshaping on the toebox which again just comes down to bending the midsole over a table until it flattens out. Other than that, these are ready to wear right out of the box and provide a very comfortable wearing experience even when worn for long periods of time.
