Speaking of early 90s runners, these Puma Prevail OG Grape are a retro in an OG colorway.
These released alongside a similar original color scheme replacing the purple for blue.
I wore these with an entirely black outfit and it worked perfectly. You could also wear some really light wash denim (goes good with the light purple) and a white or grey top. Even khakis may work well with this shoe, depending on the shade of the pants.
Seeing pics online peaked my interest on these as they kind of have the dad shoe vibe but also have the pointy toe runner aesthetic at the same time. I’m very pleased with these and I’m surprised they haven’t taken off in the United States. Hopefully they release some more colorways, or at least the other OG colorway makes it to the US for a cheaper purchase.
How Are The Materials?
The quality on these seems really good! The leather has some natural looking texturing to it and is soft and supple. There is also a nylon-esque mesh on the sides and a more straightforward mesh on the toebox. The main quality point here is the leather though. If you like your shoes to have a decent level of leather to them, you will probably be happy with these.
How Do They Fit?
These Puma Prevail OG Grape fit big and are really comfortable. I went a half size down and they still feel a little bit roomy, but not in a negative way. These don’t even need reshaping, the slope on the toebox is already in great shape! These definitely feel refreshing to put on feet after all these Nikes I’ve been wearing recently.
