Puma sent me these with no expectations on a review. Still, these Puma Cell Endura Hypefest Exclusive kicks definitely need some shine!
The Cell Endura is a kick out of Puma’s older archives, but the newer releases have a sleek update to their look. The colorway was designed by Mita’s creative director exclusively for Hypefest, a sneaker event in NY.
With the green laces in, all that’s necessary is a minimal fit and the shoes will pop! The mostly grey upper and offwhite/beige midsole make these a good candidate for a surprising variety of different looks. Anything from light wash denim to khaki colored jeans or even sweatpants can work here! Keeping the top to a grey or black color will let the shoes stand out a bit more.
Having an established brand send me a shoe is a milestone for the blog! I’m very happy to get this unique pair that not a lot of people are rocking. I can recommend these to anyone that wants kicks that stand out and are still on point with the current trends.
How Are The Materials?
The materials seem good overall. The upper sports suede, mesh and smooth leather. The suede is actually fairly soft! The quality is nice for a shoe not marked as premium and these definitely surpasse GR quality in other brands. The mix of textures on the unique paneling of the shoe should make sneaker collectors happy.
How Do They Fit?
These Puma Cell Endura Hypefest Exclusive fit short and wide. I did the same size as my Nike size and my toes come right to the front. On width, I’ve got plenty of room. That said, these are very comfortable, and the various cell bubbles seem to be doing their job! The shape is great on these too, with lots of bulk and a relatively sleek toebox. The only negative I can really think of is the weight; these are a bit heavy. For you, this may be a good thing if you want a pair of chunky kicks to stomp around in!
