Nike SB Dunk Low Verdugo Mountain Review

Updated October 20, 2025 by Anthony

The Nike SB Dunk Low Verdugo Mountain draws inspiration from the Verdugo Mountains east of Los Angeles. Some say the pistachio green and wolf grey Swooshes and gum midsoles are based off of a bike that the SB design team purportedly uses to ride through the Verdugo Mountains, while the SNKRS app attributes the inspiration to the mountains themselves.

Under the theme, you’ll find nods to the outdoors and local culture throughout the design: the inside tongue tags carry a map graphic on the left shoe and a mountain bike icon on the right and the insoles feature a scene of a rider descending past radio towers.

I’d been after the Nike SB Dunk Low Verdugo Mountain since the first images surfaced — that pistachio, or “Light Liquid Lime,” upper instantly caught my eye. The mix of muted green tones and the gum midsole gives the shoe such a clean, outdoorsy aesthetic that stands out without trying too hard.

These dropped overseas first and then slowly trickled into U.S. shops with barely any official announcements or a clear release date. Luckily, I managed to grab my pair for retail from Labor Skateboard Shop before they disappeared — definitely one of those low-key GRs that ended up being tougher to catch than expected.

The shoes come in a standard purple SB Dunk box, and include sets of SB laces in both black and liquid lime.

Materials

We get suede on the upper with a leather swoosh. The suede is relatively soft, though not ultra premium. The Swoosh in wolf grey leather is of an unremarkable quality, but looks good as far as color and texture. Overall, it’s about on par with a general SB release — solid, serviceable, and you certainly feel like you got your money’s worth.

Fit & Comfort

The fit has that typical SB Dunk Low sizing. I like to go up a half size for comfort. The padding, tongue, and profile feel familiar if you’ve worn Dunks before. Underfoot comfort is decent — nothing extravagant, but good enough for casual wear.

If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
