Nike SB Dunk Low Infrared Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

The Raygun release was the last SB pickup I achieved. It hasn’t been 2 weeks and I’m back with these Nike SB Dunk Low Infrared.

These are based off of the Air Max 90 colorway of the same name. A fitting tribute to the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90!

Other than mimicking the materials and colors used on the Infrared Air Max 90, there are no other special features or call-outs to the inspirational colorway. These are an orange label release so they come in the brown Nike box with orange paper. They ship with sets of black and white SB laces.

I love the Infrared colorway and so a dunk send-up is an obvious must have for me. Overall I find the quality to be a bit above average and the placement of materials to be a good homage!

How Are The Materials?

These have slightly better materials than a typical Nike SB Dunk, thanks to them being an orange label drop. The suede and leather, while not amazing, are definitely soft and more than acceptable for a pair of Nike SBs. The use of mesh on the toebox is not terribly common with dunk SBs, so it’s interesting to see it used here, and helps keep the shoe accurate to the mesh toebox of the original AM90.

How Do They Fit?

These Nike SB Dunk Low Infrared fit snug widthwise, so I went up a half size. This half size up minimizes break-in and eliminates the pinky toe rub that I tend to get with newer dunk SBs at a smaller size. Overall I find them very comfortable at this size.
