The Nike SB Dunk Low Baroque Brown continues the recent run of ACG-leaning colorways on GR SB releases, delivering an earthy but bold look on one of the most collectible silhouettes around.
Originally introduced in 1985 as a basketball shoe built around college colorways, the Nike Dunk was reworked by Nike SB in 2002 with skate-specific upgrades like a padded tongue, Zoom Air cushioning, and improved grip. Since then, the SB Dunk has become a cornerstone of both skate and streetwear culture, and this pair keeps things simple—no gimmicks or special themes here beyond a strong colorway.
I’m really loving the overall look on this pair, as the colors pop immediately out of the box. I don’t need much of an excuse to grab SB Dunks—they’re my favorite shoe to collect, and I usually try to pick them up as they release when possible. This one was actually tougher to secure than expected, selling out online pretty quickly, but I managed to grab my pair for retail from Tactics, which made the pickup even better.
These come in the standard purple Nike SB box and include two sets of laces: pink (Adobe) and brown, both of which work well depending on how much contrast you want.
Materials
We get a suede upper paired with a leather Swoosh, which is a typical GR SB Dunk setup. The quality is solid and consistent with other SB releases at this price point—nothing overly premium or particularly soft, but definitely better than standard Nike GRs. The suede has a nice texture, and overall the shoe feels well made even if it doesn’t push into “special release” territory.
Fit & Comfort
I go a half size up in SB Dunks due to the extra padding, and that approach works well here. Comfort is what you’d expect from an SB Dunk: decent step-in feel thanks to the Zoom Air insole, solid support, good ground feel, and just enough cushioning to feel like an upgrade over a regular Dunk. These are comfortable for a few hours of casual wear, but not something I’d reach for as an all-day sneaker.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
