I’ve never owned a Jordan x SB collab, although I constantly buy Nike SBs. Finally, that’s changed with these Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low Koston.
These kicks pay homage to a time before Nike SB when Nike team skaters were given Air Jordan 1s to skate. The colorway is designed by Eric Koston and based on the Midnight Navy Air Jordan 1 colorway from back in the day. A key feature of this shoe is the stitched-in Jumpman on the toebox.
I want this shoe to be easier to throw on, however that navy makes it a bit difficult. As I’ve said in the past, blue-based kicks are a bit hard for me to rock. Grey or khaki colored pants are probably the easiest way to go with these, paired with a white or navy top. The shoe might also look good with a red top, playing off the red jumpman on the toe.
You know me; where others zig, I zag! Everyone was beasting on the AJ1 x Nike SB high, and many seem to be less excited about a low. I can’t blame them, I’m less a fan of Jordan lows in general. However with the storyline and colorway, these are different enough and unique enough to make them special for me.
How Are The Materials?
We actually get a decent suede on these! The texture is fairly soft and you definitely get the backstroke color shift when you rub these. The leather they used seems ok, not super plush or tumbled but good enough to finish off the shoe. Overall, while not amazing, the materials are at least done well enough to let you know you’re holding a special pair of kicks.

Due to availability, I went a half size up. These do fit me a little loose, but overall it’s not that big of a deal. These do have a bit less of a padded fit that SB Dunks and aren’t as narrow as a Jordan 1 high, although the zoom air does make these a bit more comfortable
