Nike Lunartempo Volt Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

Nike likes to group their performance-oriented running kicks into segments such as “Supportive Comfort”. The Lunartempo falls under “Fast-Paced Comfort” due to the soft Lunarlon cushioning, Flymesh upper (like the Zoom Elite 8) and basic waffle sole.

Nike Lunartempo Volt

In my opinion, this sneaker in Volt is a dope, head-turning colorway. The contrast of the black and volt engineered mesh looks great and makes these one of those shoes that is very eye-catching. A lot of times, Nike runners will look great with a lot of Volt all over them, and that is the case here.

The material quality here is basic, functional and sufficient for the intended use of running. These come with the volt laces pictured.

As far as comfort, these definitely are comfortable and minimalist, which is what I believe Nike is getting at. While purely Lunarlon soles can theoretically bottom out, I doubt I’ll wind up wearing these enough to actually do that.
