Frequent Nike collaborator UNDFTD out of LA did a few colorways with the Lunar Force 1. These black on black are my favorite Nike Lunar Force 1 Undefeated as the other pairs that dropped all had wacky color schemes attached.
These feature Undefeated branding on the aglets, backtab, deubré and insole and a special pattern going up the back pulltab. The speckling on the midsole adds a nice touch to finish these off.
The Lunar Force 1 is (was) a dope take on the classic AF1. It definitely works a lot better depending on colorway. Basically, Nike put a lunar sole on an Air Force 1 which lightens the load on these compared to a regular pair, while adding an additional ridge-like design to the midsole. The midsole winds up looking kind of odd on some colorways and perfect on other pairs like these.
How are the materials?
These have a suede upper which is definitely on the rougher side. These have more of a rugged feel rather than buttery, although the quality still seems to be good. I think Undefeated was going with a more tough look with these. Overall I’d say the materials are not next-level great. They do serve the task of making the shoe look good and have the right vibe given the colorway and model.
How do they fit?
The Nike Lunar Force 1 Undefeated fit slightly big and are way comfortable. I find AF1s to fit slightly big and these are no exception. The comfort on these does overtake the traditional Air Force because of the lunar sole. These definitely weigh less than some regular Forces. Highly recommend grabbing this colorway if you can find it (see below).
