I love silver box SB dunks like these Nike SB Dunk Low Jedi! The quality of the materials is typically outstanding and most of the kicks from this era are legendary.
The Jedis I believe were initially nicknamed the Yodas thanks to the lightsaber-like neon laces and contrast stitching. The green/brown colorway is reminiscent of the elderly Jedi master’s skin and outfit.
I was always checking for these and the prices were always ridiculous, so I was glad to swoop these back in the day when a steal finally popped up online. Silver box SB’s are pretty much top of the line when it comes to materials, comfort and overall “specialness” of the kicks, and these are definite head turners.
In this case we get a nice leather overlay (prone to chipping with age – be careful). On the underlays we get nubuck with a nice buttery feel to it. The construction and blocking reminds me of the Slams.
