Nike Dunk Low Olive Gum Review

Updated January 18, 2026 by Anthony

The Nike Dunk Low Olive Gum gets its name from the overall look of the colorway, combining muted light army and neutral tones with a classic gum sole. This pair is part of a small “gum pack” that began releasing around Summer 2025, featuring Dunk Lows with suede overlays, leather underlays, and gum outsoles.

The Nike Dunk originally debuted in the mid-1980s as a basketball shoe and has remained a staple in Nike’s retro lineup ever since. This pair is labeled SE, which stands for Special Edition, and in this case it refers more to the material mix and extra details rather than a jump in overall quality. It’s similar to how Nike uses terms like “premium,” where it usually means something added or different compared to a basic all-leather Dunk rather than truly higher-end materials. Here, that “SE” designation seems to come from the suede overlays and the inclusion of an extra set of laces.

I’d been eyeing this colorway for a long time, but at first it didn’t feel special enough to justify adding yet another Dunk to a collection that already has plenty. That said, a good colorway is still a good colorway, and the gum sole definitely helps. Being able to grab these from Champs for around $60 shipped, thanks to a $5 FLX reward, ultimately swung the decision and made this an easy pickup.

Packaging is straightforward, as the shoe comes in a plain orange Nike box. Inside are two sets of matching Light Army laces, offered in different widths .

Materials

Material-wise, the Nike Dunk Low Olive Gum features suede overlays with leather underlays, with the suede being the main highlight here. The suede isn’t amazing, but for a non-SB Dunk that isn’t labeled premium, it’s actually pretty solid. It’s nicer than the materials used on some lower-tier pairs and feels worth the small price bump. The leather itself is standard smooth synthetic leather, nothing special, but serviceable.

Fit & Comfort

Fit is true to size, offering the familiar slightly roomy Dunk Low fit. Underfoot comfort is exactly what you’d expect from a regular Dunk — basic but comfortable enough for casual wear. There’s nothing special going on cushioning-wise, but for everyday use, they get the job done without issue.

If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
