Most people probably insta-passed on the Nike Dunk High SB Obsidian Team Orange but I had to grab them. Navy/Orange is one of my favorite color combinations and I didn’t have it in a high yet. Some assign the “Syracuse” nickname to these, however this is a bit confusing as there are already some Syracuse SB Dunk Highs from the BTTYS pack.
The blue parts of this shoe are suede while the rest is leather. Although this isn’t a premium release, the materials actually aren’t that bad. The suede isn’t the softest, but it’s somewhat thick at least and the leather is a little shiny but softer than most GR releases I’ve seen recently.
With respect to comfort, these are fairly average for a relatively modern Nike SB. If you find SB Dunks to be snug, you wouldn’t be the only one. In this case, going up a half size from your normal true size can be helpful. I still think that SB Dunk highs like this are a bit more forgiving, particularly those made with suede uppers, which allow for more give overall.
The shoe ships with orange and blue laces, but otherwise no extras. This sneaker is from an era where lots of GR SB Dunks released, and the focus here is on providing a simple straightforward product, rather than the bells and whistles associated with a more limited release.
