It’s been so long since I’ve reviewed a pair of Blazers! Finally I’m back with these Nike Blazer Mid 77 VNTG.
This is part of a line of different blazers that have released with Nike’s “vintage” treatment. Several white-based colorways have released, differing only by the color of the swoosh and rear branding.
These come in the “vintage” lighter orange Nike box and ship with flat white laces. The vintage effect is applied here via the exposed padding on the tongue and the materials, yellowed midsole and scratched looking Nike logo on the back.
Overall I just felt the urge to get my blazer game up and Nike has a lot of good offerings in clean colorways. I actually copped these and Nike cancelled my order when they sold out. Luckily my size restocked and I was able to try again!
How Are The Materials?
The leather upper on these is smooth and seems fairly average. There is also suede around the toecap and above the midsole. The swoosh has nubuck on it that is fairly soft.
These also sport a leather ankle liner. Overall the sneaker’s leather does not appear to be of high quality (the bluing on the exposed edges indicates a rushed process). The suede is intentionally roughed up for the vintage effect and is not soft. Overall for a $100 sneaker the materials are about on par with what I would expect. The get the vintage effect across but definitely are not premium.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Blazer Mid 77 VNTG fit true to size.
So for me I stick with the size 9.5 I get in 99% of Nikes such as Jordans and Air Maxes. This is a very basic sneaker in terms of there being no technology in the midsole or anything like that. Still, there is a lot of comfort in simplicity!

These bear a resemblance to the sneakers worn in the movie “Like Mike”. Hence some call these the Like Mike Blazer Mid 77.
