After finishing up that pack of Air Max 90 “OGs”, I’m back to the GR AM90s! First up are these colorful Nike Air Max 90 University Gold.
These don’t have a nickname or anything fancy like that but remind me a bit of the Viotech 90s that released last year thanks to the multicolor palette.
These ship in a simple orange Nike Sportswear box with basic white flat laces and no extras. These do feature the “recrafted” shape with the extra vertical stitching on the side by the swoosh.
This is a dope shoe just purely based on the colorway. I like colorful kicks but some combos are harder to actually wear and pull off. These however are perfect for spring/summer!
How Are The Materials?
These are a basic suede and mesh runner from Nike Sportswear. You get a general release quality of materials – definitely get this shoe only if you are feeling the colorway and do not expect a premium suede. The suede is rougher/thicker than the OG recrafts (i.e. not the “felt” suede), but it’s still just a basic thick suede. The only exception is the felt/microfiber feeling suede on the swoosh which is fairly smooth.
How Do They Fit?
I went true to size in these. These are comfy with no break-in time or pinky rub. These come equipped with a fairly nice and pointy shape and slightly lighter weight thanks to the recraft format.
