Of all the 90s I’ve copped, these are most similar in colorblocking to the Chlorophyll colorway. Basically these Nike Air Max 90 New Maroon also get their nickname from the colorway, swapping in the green for a burgundy color.
There’s nothing really remarkable about this shoe in terms of features. Well, other than that the included flat white laces have maroon aglets. These come in a plain orange Nike sportswear box.
This colorblocking gives the AM90 a somewhat stark look in my opinion. Thus, I recommend these if you really like that accent color popping. Overall the comfort is there so if you like 90s, give these a look!
How Are The Materials?
The materials are not what I would call “good”, but they are acceptable given that this is basically a general release. The quality is meant to mimic 1990-level quality, so it is slightly better than older GR 90s, but not by much. Overall I give the suede, mesh and leather used on these a pass since this shoe is more about retro vibes than premium materials.
How Do They Fit?
Easy – stay true to size for these Nike Air Max 90 New Maroon. Whatever you get in most Nikes, get that size here. Recrafted 90s also seem a little lighter and more comfy underfoot than older GR AM90s from before every pair was a “recraft”.
