Coming off the review on those Premium Olive 90s, it’s time to go with a more unique colorway with these Nike Air Max 90 Essential Watermelon.
There is a watermelon Air Max 1 that recently released, and this is the color scheme applied to the AM90, going a little heavier on the white than the grey found on the AM1.
Light colored khakis, chinos or denim would work with these, provided the ankle is skinny enough on the pants. Pair that with a white or grey top and you have a nice spring/summer outfit perfect for the warmer months. A more plain fit will allow the pink and green to pop on the shoe.
I get bored easily and I like to switch up from buying the same shoe all the time. In this case, I couldn’t just get another AM1. I’m feeling like this colorway will be sought after in the future when availability dries up.
How Are The Materials?
The materials on these are standard Nike sportswear level, meaning they are nothing special. A pair of AM90 essentials are more about the colorway rather than the material quality. That said, these aren’t total trash. They just aren’t mind blowing either. Most people will likely be ok enough with the shoe’s overall quality.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Air Max 90 Essential Watermelon fit true to size, giving a slightly snug fit. The toe was a little blocky out of the box but not too bad. I applied some slight reshaping to get them looking like they do here.
