This shoe should blend in with a lot of outfits. For pants I would rock pretty much light or dark wash denim or joggers. I’d avoid looking too overly “tech” with these and instead go with a cozy or streetwear look. For a top, I like pairing these with a grey or black tee or hoodie.
These basically sport the same materials as the other Anniversary releases. We have the higher-quality felt suede with mesh as the basis of the shoes. The quality is good for what these are, and the tongue has that odd “2 different types of mesh” thing going on. Overall the materials are definitely passable for a retro pair of Air Max 1s that are trying to stay true to the OG.
How Do The AM1 Anniversary Obsidian Fit?
The Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary Obsidian fit true to your Nike size. They have the typical narrow Nike sportswear fit, but the materials give them a bit of give.
For me, they’re still very comfortable with the smaller size, but your mileage may vary there. Your regular Nike size is more of a safe bet. The shape on these is very good right out of the box, but of course I gave them a slight reshape because, why not?
This is my fourth pair of the Anniversary AM1s so clearly I am a fan. I’m not even sure what other Anniversary OG colorways have been released in this format, but I just can not get enough of the AM1 right now! I highly recommend getting these or at least one of the Anniversary pairs if you’re a fan of the Air Max line at all!
