The Nike Air Force 1 B 3M Snake is a direct retro of a 2001 co.jp release in a similar vein to the Hong Kong and Wheat Mocha AF1.
Here we have another black box AF1 indicating some kind of premium element to the shoe.
These come in the black AF1 box which usually indicates a higher quality release. These don’t ship with a deubré but they do include black flat laces. Other than that, not too much going on with this sneaker.
I always regretted selling my initial pair of Hong Kongs and I’m not letting another AF1 B slip through my fingers! I did wind up buying HKs again eventually though 🙂
How Are The Materials?
The upper here is leather and 3M including the leather tongue. There is also a snakeskin print with some slight texture applied to the smooth leather on the swoosh. The black leather they are using seems to be soft and somewhat plush and does evoke that quality feel, with a bit of tumble to the finish. All the 3M used here is definitely bright and plentiful! The swoosh leather seems decent overall. With 3M paneling like this, the QC on the cuts and paneling is going to be a little rough, but otherwise the shoe seems to be a very decent level of quality. Most collectors should be ok with what’s on display here.
How Do They Fit?
These fit similar to other Air Force 1s; roomy. These are cushy and comfy and only slightly heavy feeling thanks to that big chunky midsole and hidden air unit. I will say that these have a slightly more snug feel possibly due to the materials, but not enough to go up in size.
