The Nike Air Foamposite One Copper might not be an OG colorway, but it’s definitely one of the most iconic. First released in 2010, the metallic copper upper gave the futuristic silhouette a bold, standout look.
I had that first release — wore them until the sole started to separate. Rather than go the repair route, I lucked out and scooped this 2024 pair on sale from Shoe Palace for around $200 shipped.
Much like the recent Royal Foamposites, Nike brought back the Copper pair with most details unchanged. Aside from the shape feeling just a bit more streamlined, everything else is in line with the 2010 version — same molded Foamposite shell, black mesh tongue and inner bootie, full-length Zoom Air, and icy translucent outsole.
Packaging includes a black Nike Sportswear box with black laces pre-installed.
Materials
The upper features the signature Foamposite shell, paired with nubuck overlays around the eyelets and ankle. Materials are what you’d expect from a Foamposite — nothing out of the ordinary, but it still gives off that premium, built-to-last feel.
Fit & Comfort
The Foamposite material feels slightly softer this time around, which helps make break-in a bit easier. The fit remains a little bulky, but true to size feels more forgiving than I remember. Still a heavy shoe, and not ideal for lots of walking, but for casual wear they’re totally wearable.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
