I couldn’t pass on the 2025 Nike Air Foamposite One in Black/Volt — these things are pure eye candy. That bright neon lime against the matte black upper just pops in person.
While this exact colorway didn’t release back in the day, it appears to pull inspiration from a couple of older pairs. You’ve got elements reminiscent of the 2007 “Cactus” Foams and the 2011 “Electric Green” House of Hoops exclusive — the latter of which I’ve owned. This new version turns up the volume with a more vibrant tone and a translucent volt sole instead of the solid rubber found on the Cactus pair. It’s not a true retro, but it feels like a spiritual successor to those pairs.
I wound up scoring these for around $200 shipped from Shoe Palace, just like the Coppers. Wasn’t sure if I’d bite at retail, but with the colorway looking this sharp and that deal hitting at the right time, it was a no-brainer. That green contrast with the black upper is just eye-catching! Great to have a bold Foam like this in the collection again.
Materials, packaging, and fit are in line with other recent Foamposite releases like the 2024 Copper pair. As usual, the shoe ships in the standard black box with black laces included.
Materials
You get that molded Foamposite shell with black nubuck along the eyestays and ankle, mesh tongue and bootie. The upper seems a bit softer than older pairs, which helps slightly with the break-in.
Fit & Comfort
Fit is true to size for me. Still a bulky, heavy shoe, but less restrictive than older retros. Comfort is improved over the years, with the full-length Zoom Air unit underfoot. These still aren’t something I’d wear for a long day on my feet. For casual wear though, they’re absolutely fine — especially if you’re used to the feel of Foams.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
