I own a number of Diadoras already but my preference has always been the N9000. After many recommendations, I finally picked up these Diadora V7000 Premium Stellar Estate Blue to add to the collection.
The V7000 originally dropped in 1990 and only started getting massively retro’d again in 2016.
Multi-blue colorways can be difficult to put into outfits. As usual, you could go with a dark or light outfit. On a light outfit, I’d choose light-medium wash denim or khakis with a white top. Make sure the taper is narrow to really give the shoe it’s best look. Another direction to try is a darker outfit with black denim and a navy top.
Overall, I’m glad to add these V7000s into the collection. I’m curious to see what collaborations would look like on this shoe in terms of material quality. But overall, Diadora does Italy proud once again with these kicks!
How Are The Materials?
Although these are earmarked as “premium”, the suede definitely falls a tad short. It’s not bad (i.e. sandpaper or felt suede), but it’s not very buttery or smooth, or even lush. I’d say these are actually of a semi-premium quality. That said, these are still better than your average GR pair of sneakers. On a scale of 1-10 I’d give these a 7 in terms of material quality. Passable but not mind-blowing.
How Do They Fit?
The Diadora V7000 Premium Stellar Estate Blue Heritage fit true to size, although I was able to go down half a size. Either way, these are quite comfortable, so it just is a choice between roomy or nice and snug. On a runner like this, I opt for the snug fit as the suede toebox should form to my foot over time and break in quite nicely.
