So, what’s the deal with the sneaker collection (Seinfeld Voice)? Right around 2008, I’d just lost a lot of weight and was in need of an entirely new wardrobe. I was in the process of buying newer, smaller clothes and the time came for a new pair of shoes. Rather than pick some ordinary pair like I normally would, I opted for a more interesting and unique looking pair. The response from others was so strong and positive that I decided to look more into the different kinds of cool sneakers and discovered that collecting sneakers is similar to collecting comics, baseball cards, or any other of the numerous hobbies I had when I was a kid! I’ve been into sneakers ever since – to the extent that I even got an article written about me in the paper! I’ve also been collector of the month in Solecollector Magazine (issue #47)!
I built up a lot of my collection looking for deals on slept-on pairs! I also post deals I find on this very site when I have time.
As for the photography aspect, check out any Sneaker related websites (there are many), and you will typically find posts filled with awesome, artsy footwear shots. I like learning about cameras and taking interesting shots, and it turns out there are actually sites online where you can get recognized for both your collection and photography skills at the same time! You can check out some of my most recent shots below. If you’re curious, I currently shoot with a Nikon D3100 (Amazon link) and mostly use a 50mm lens.
My eBay account is where I list my current sneakers available for sale (if I happen to be selling any).

Asics Gel-1130 Tiffany Review
The Asics Gel-1130 Tiffany brings a fresh twist to one of Asics’ most accessible retro runners, earning its nickname from the unmistakable Tiffany-style blue mesh underlays throughout the upper. It’s a clean nod to the famous colorway seen across sneaker culture—from SB Dunks to various homages—now applied to a model that fits right into today’s Y2K-inspired running trend.

The New Balance 1906R Parchment takes its name from the official colorway “Parchment with Morel and Incense,” though the box label simply reads “Beige Brown”—a name that doesn’t quite match the tones on foot. In reality, the combination of pale yellow and soft green hues gives off a green apple or lemonade vibe, especially in this pastel pack release that released alongside a pink and a blue/green option.

The New Balance 2002R Dream State gets its name from the purplish-blue tones that dominate the colorway—a calming mix of blue, lavender, and purple that feels both subtle and unique. It’s one of countless colorways that have dropped for this model, showing how strong the 2002R’s run continues to be even years after its revival.
