The Air Jordan 5 Fire Red is one of the most iconic original colorways of the AJ5, debuting back in 1990. Michael Jordan wore these during regular season games, and the colorway has stood the test of time as one of the more recognizable looks for the model.

So, what’s the deal with the sneaker collection (Seinfeld Voice)? Right around 2008, I’d just lost a lot of weight and was in need of an entirely new wardrobe. I was in the process of buying newer, smaller clothes and the time came for a new pair of shoes. Rather than pick some ordinary pair like I normally would, I opted for a more interesting and unique looking pair. The response from others was so strong and positive that I decided to look more into the different kinds of cool sneakers and discovered that collecting sneakers is similar to collecting comics, baseball cards, or any other of the numerous hobbies I had when I was a kid! I’ve been into sneakers ever since – to the extent that I even got an article written about me in the paper! I’ve also been collector of the month in Solecollector Magazine (issue #47)!
I built up a lot of my collection looking for deals on slept-on pairs! I also post deals I find on this very site when I have time.
As for the photography aspect, check out any Sneaker related websites (there are many), and you will typically find posts filled with awesome, artsy footwear shots. I like learning about cameras and taking interesting shots, and it turns out there are actually sites online where you can get recognized for both your collection and photography skills at the same time! You can check out some of my most recent shots below. If you’re curious, I currently shoot with a Nikon D3100 (Amazon link) and mostly use a 50mm lens.
My eBay account is where I list my current sneakers available for sale (if I happen to be selling any).

Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Review (2025)
The Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard returns in 2025, bringing back one of the most sought-after colorways in the Air Jordan 1 line. The original dropped in 2015 and became an instant classic—not only for the bold black, orange, and sail colorblocking, but also because of its reputation for great quality leather. The design pays tribute to the jersey Michael Jordan wore during a 1985 exhibition game in Italy, when he famously shattered the glass backboard on a dunk.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro B Sequoia is the third entry in Nike’s Pro B revival pack, dressed in a rich, mossy green tone true to its name. Nike’s been channeling early 2000s Pro B energy in 2025, with four pairs rumored to drop throughout the year. This release keeps the theme going with materials and colorblocking that nod to the era.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Arts-Rec is a San Diego-inspired collab with Arts-Rec Skateshop, pulling heavy influence from the SD Zoo and Balboa Park. Nike SB loves a good story-driven collab, and this pair goes all-in on the theme with plenty of animal references throughout.

The Air Jordan 8 Aqua returns again in 2025, bringing back one of the more unique OG colorways in the Jordan lineup, first worn by Michael Jordan during the 1993 NBA All-Star Game.

The Air Jordan 3 Rare Air continues Jordan Brand’s “Rare Air” theme that kicked off with the AJ1 — now reimagined on the AJ3 silhouette. Just like with the 1s, this pair pulls from early samples, design flaws, and unreleased concepts to create something familiar, yet tweaked. From a distance, these have a vague Black Cement 3 vibe, but closer inspection reveals some clever and intentional “mistakes.”
