I haven’t reviewed too many Converse shoes, as I don’t add them to my collection often, however they have classic models spanning everything from canvas staples to skate models and collaborative releases. Reviews of Converse pairs have been part of this site since early on, as the brand plays such a foundational role in sneaker culture.
Hopefully, these reviews help you on your own collection journey.
Converse traces its roots back to 1908, with the Chuck Taylor All Star becoming one of the most iconic sneakers of all time after its introduction in the 1910s. What started as a basketball shoe evolved into a cultural symbol worn across sports, music, and street style for over a century.
While Converse isn’t about cutting-edge cushioning or modern tech, the brand consistently delivers timeless silhouettes that work across generations and styles.

Today I’m sporting these Converse CTAS Pro Ox in a Red & White colorway. The materials are pretty straightforward here – red suede with white rubber. These come packaged with red and white laces. CTAS Pro Ox are part of Converse’ skate line, so the uppers are a tad more sturdy than regular canvas chucks. Also, thanks to the business relationship between Nike and Converse, these feature a Lunarlon insole for extra lightweight comfort.
Colorway: Red/White
Style Code: 144586C
MSRP: $65
