Here’s all the Saucony Shadow Original reviews on the site! Saucony first released the Shadow Original in 1985. It was intended to be a performance trainer. The Original brings the mid-80s simple runner look to the modern age via numerous retros throughout the years.
While I prefer other pairs from the Shadow line more such as the 5000 and 6000, the ol’ standby is definitely the Original. It doesn’t quite have the pointy shape that would become en vogue in the early 90s. This era has my favorite look of retro runner. Still, there’s always plenty of new colorways available and I find there’s always a new pair they’ve released that I wouldn’t mind owning.

Mo’ Saucony! Can’t Stop Won’t Stop! Today, I had to break out the Saucony Shadow Original Navy and Grey as the originals are one of the easiest shoes to wear, and so inexpensive that I can easily come up on another pair if these get messed up.
