Air Jordan

I’m a big fan of the Air Jordan line.  Most sneaker collectors probably are as well.  On this website I’ve reviewed dozens of pairs of Jordans.

The quality and popularity of various releases in the Jordan line of sneakers has varied over time.  When I first started collecting, lot of my early pickups besides SB Dunks were Air Jordans.

While my tastes may have changed as far as what I wear day to day and what I find comfortable, there’s no denying that people still love Jordans.  The sneaker line is inextricably tied to sneaker culture in general.  You can’t collect kicks and not notice the impact and permanence of the Air Jordan retro.

Fit and Technology

While newer Js probably make great basketball sneakers, this site focuses mostly on older models.  The Jordan retro speaks more to the collector, generally speaking.

With that said, we are often talking about sneakers with technology that is decades old.  Therefore, in general, one should not approach picking up a pair of Jordans as an exercise in comfort.  These are not Adidas Ultraboosts!

Instead, collectors tend to focus on the aesthetics, hype, history and stories behind each model and release.  That is the magic of the Jordan retro – an ability to tie all these things together to create a legitimate product that appeals to people in many walks of life.  Being able to do all this despite the sneakers not boasting the latest cushioning or innovations really speaks to the marketing genius of Nike and Jordan Brand.

In any case, read on to get more information and/or reviews on this popular series of sneakers!

Air Jordan Future Low Black and Red Review

Updated October 9, 2015 by Anthony

Air Jordan Future Low

There’s not much to say about these that I didn’t say in my last Air Jordan Future Low review. The only real difference is the colorway.

Air Jordan Future Low Photo Blue Review

Updated October 7, 2015 by Anthony

The Jordan Future Low is a combo of a one-piece upper and an Air Jordan XI sole. While it initially released as a mid, eventually lows arrived in a flurry of colorways.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Black Toe Review

Updated August 31, 2015 by Anthony

Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Black Toe on feet

Today I’m sporting a retro of an original Air Jordan 1 colorway known as the “black toes”. These have retro’d a few times but never in the high cut of the OG until 2013 with the release of the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Black Toe.

Air Jordan XI Space Jam Review

Updated July 26, 2015 by Anthony

Ah, the Space Jams. This 2009 Air Jordan XI Space Jam release started the trend of releasing AJXI around Christmas time every year. There was mad hype for these of course.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Nouveau Anthracite Review

Updated July 21, 2015 by Anthony

Everybody slept on the Air Jordan 1 Mid Nouveau Anthracite, but I believe if the “Nike Air” Air Jordan 1s never came out, these would have gotten more attention

Air Jordan XI Columbia (2001)

Updated June 27, 2015 by Anthony

These Air Jordan XI Columbia sold out when they dropped in 2001. Air Jordan XI’s are always highly anticipated, and this release just happens to be the last XI’s with “Nike Air” on the insole! Thes sport some obvious patent leather on the toebox and above the midsole, with the rest of the uppers being leather except for the mesh tongue. These come in a Jordan “face box” with white rope laces and a retro card.
