Here’s all my Air Jordan 9 reviews! I’m not a huge 9 guy, but I’ve collected a pair or two throughout the years. I managed to put together a couple articles on a couple colorways I’ve owned. Although it’s not my cup of tea per se, many sneakerheads absolutely love the 9.
My big thing with the 9, even moreso than a lot of other Jordan retros, is the bootlike look and fit. The sneaker was released when MJ was not playing in the NBA and was playing baseball instead. Thus, we get kind of a baseball-cleat inspired look and feel, but just a huge boot version. Still, people love this model and I’ve tried my best to do them justice in my AJ9 articles.

According to Nike, the Air Jordan 9 Statue is actually supposed to be called “The Spirit”, and draws it’s inspiration from a famous statue in Chicago of Michael Jordan wearing the AJIX.
