If you follow my blog, then you know I just picked these Asics Gel-Lyte V India Ink up.
Most of my Asics purchases have been come ups on a super steal and these are no different. They get their nickname from the colorway and are a basic pair of GLV GR’s. Asics was nice enough to include rope laces with these!
I chose a completely blacked-out fit to go with these. I think dark denim with some navy might work as well, but an all-black outfit will definitely work if you want to stay on the safe side. These would also be legit for a SF Giants game or similar as the navy on the shoe is fairly downplayed.
I’m into the GLV even if the materials are sub-par. Especially if the price is right. If you can find this dope colorway below retail, I highly recommend pulling the trigger!
How Are The Materials?
Don’t get your hopes up. The materials are not that good. These use that suede that feels like felt. The rest of the shoe is mesh with leather on the Asics’ stripes. Overall, these reflect GR quality to a tee with the most basic of materials. If you want more butter on your shoe, look elsewhere.
How Do They Fit?
These Asics Gel-Lyte V India Ink have the typical V fit of “snug yet comfortable”. Many like to size up on these, but I like going true to size. I think you get the best look on foot in terms of shape at true size and the shoes are still comfortable. The neoprene tongue helps with the snug fit.
