Just after my last GLIII review, I got hyped and had to get another pair. I decided on the Asics Gel-Lyte III Winter Pack thanks to the dope combo of black and olive green with the orange hits.
The splatter pattern on the sole is dope and the rope laces help to add to the “winter” aesthetic as boots typically come with a set of ropes. The winter trail pack includes some other Asics models as well in similar color schemes.
The materials on these are pretty nice. Definitely nothing mind blowing, but the combination of suede, mesh, leather and 3M really make for a subtly wild mix. The quality on Asics GR’s typically trumps a lot of other brands quality on mass-produced pairs which is why it’s dope to find pairs on sale!
The Asics Gel-Lyte III Winter Pack fit true to size and are very, very comfortable. I’m not tripping off the split tongue and I suggest that you give it a chance if you’re considering buying a pair – once you get past that, these shoes are money!
