These are a Christmas gift and as such these UA Charged 24/7 Nu are a total surprise add to the collection.
If you found this review via Google and aren’t familiar with my blog, keep in mind I review collectible sneakers for fashion rather than athletic function. Based on my limited research, the 24/7 Nu is part of a larger line of UA Charged sneakers with various styles.
These have a nice grey/light blue color scheme which works well with a contrasting dark pant or a super light wash denim. Either way, I’d go for a grey or white top to complete the look. The sneaker has a very casual look to it so most casual or athletic clothes will probably work well here.
Pretty much every UA shoe I have has been a gift, and they’re great shoes! I think here we are finally seeing UA minimizing their logo for a more casual “street” look. All they are missing are the celebrity/rapper endorsements! Still, although these might not be popular with collectors, the UA Charged line is apparently very popular overall with those wanting a low cost sneaker to wear casually. These to me give off a Creative Rec vibe thanks to the side panel and lacing. If you want some casual beaters, a pair of these would be a comfortable way to do that!
Materials
I didn’t even think about this when I was filming the pickup video for these, but the materials are basically all mesh! The toebox has a woven mesh look to it while the side panel is superthick and the rear of the shoe has a finer grain to it. The shoe actually seems to be very nice quality considering there’s really no standard suede or leather to speak of.
Fit
Some say the shoe fits tight, so proceed with caution here, but I found these Under Armour UA Charged 24/7 Nu fit ok at true size. I’m not really feeling anything special or different out of the “charged” midsole and I find the area around the ankle to be a little thin and the lacing enclosure to be very snug. Still, with longer socks, the shoes are fairly comfortable!
