I had the other colorway of Puma Suede in this pack and sold it. The Alife x Puma Suede Amazon & Black needed to get added to the collection to fill the void!
These came out in a pack with some other Alife branded kicks and features a number of details related to the collab. The shoes feature branding on the side of the shoe and insole as well as spare laces that say “15 years and running” and Alife branded aglets. The shoes also feature LES and NYC on the back; a nod to the location of the Alife store in New York City. The biggest detail is perhaps the different colored Puma striping from the outside facing part of the shoe to the inside.
Basically I tread these like some Bred Jordans even though the inside striping is purple. Dark blue or black pants works well with these. Throw a black top on and you are all set!
I kind of regret selling the white colorway of these but thankfully the collab is so slept on, I’m able to find the other colorway here for under retail 3 years later. Eventually pairs of these will dry up and I can see people wishing they’d have given these a second look!
How Are The Materials?
More “pre-vintaged” action here with shaggy, faded suede and a dirtied/yellowed midsole to complete the look. The materials are a tad rough but that adds to the vibe of the shoe. I would not expect “buttery” suede with a pair styled in this “beat-up” type of way. For what the shoe is, the materials are fairly decent!
How Do They Fit?
These Alife x Puma Suede Amazon & Black fit a tad big. You can go true to size or a half size down for a more snug fit. The shoes are definitely comfortable in a very basic type of way. I can definitely see these breaking in very quickly and the cushioning is sufficient to wear casually for a few hours at a time.
