So, I had no idea when I was buying these – but apparently they are limited to 500 pairs! This Air Max Light x Size collab is definitely a very high quality release. The Air Max Light is a fairly slept on model and it’s always dubious if a Size? exclusive is really “exclusive”.
The Air Max Light came out after the Air Max 1 but before the Air Max 90. In the US, people don’t really mess with the AM Lights, but they do have more of a following overseas. These just looked so quality in pics online that I made sure I had a pair – I was all over these on release date! If you can find a pair online, you should definitely swoop them up!
The grey and burgundy on these is so dope. You can do a light or dark outfit with these and it will look great! It’s shorts weather for me today, so I’m sporting some tan shorts and a white tee with these. You can even pull off a top with a direct burgundy or grey match without it looking too over-matchy!
Materials
The quality on these is insane. The mesh is what it is, but the suede used on the upper is so buttery and lush! The materials on these have a bit of a vintage look to them, but the texture and blocking is on point. I think these will go down as legendary for a pair of AM Lights, especially with respect to material quality.
Fit
The Air Max Light x Size fit true to size and are very comfortable. I’m not surprised the US sleeps on these, and it’s too bad they do, as this is one comfortable model! I find the fit similar to most AM1s except perhaps a little wider around the toebox area. I did find the toeboxes need some minor reshaping on these to get them optimally pointy, but other than that these are definitely a good look!
