Air Jordan 1 Low Pine Green Review

Updated May 10, 2020 by Anthony

The Air Jordan 1 Low Pine Green is my re-entry into standard lowtop Air Jordan 1s. They get their name from the colorway.

These bascially come in a regular black Air Jordan box (similar to J1 Mids) and include flat green laces but otherwise don’t have any sort of extras included.

I have grabbed some AJ1 Low x Nike SB collab sneakers, but hadn’t really gotten any non-SB Jordan 1 lows since before I started this website.

I’ll admit, seeing previews of the materials got me curious about these and I’m glad I took a chance because I really like these kicks! I can easily recommend these off the colorway alone.

How Are The Materials?

The materials are GR level here, but at least they’re interesting. The white and black leather around the sneaker looks like textured patent leather from far away but is actually just regular leather with a smooth glossy finish. The green areas are a nylon ripstop type material. Instead of the typical uncomfortably-stiff ripstop, the kind used here is flexible and more wearable. Overall, I’d say the materials are surprising in a good way, if not super premium quality.

How Do They Fit?

These Air Jordan 1 Low Pine Green fit true to size. I got the same size I get in Jordan 1 mids and highs as well as most other Nikes. I find these to look more narrow than they feel. There’s actually a good amount of room in these without burning my pinky toes, which is often a concern on Jordan retros. All in all, I’d say these are very comfortable!
