The Air Jordan 1 Blacktoe Reimagined brings a fresh twist to one of the most iconic OG colorways in the Jordan lineup. Part of the ongoing “Reimagined” series, this 2025 release draws from a rare promo pair, with a few tweaks that set it apart from standard retros.
Gone is the Wings logo on the collar — replaced with old-school “Air Jordan” text. The tongue is black instead of white, and the midsoles come pre-yellowed for that vintage touch. Another detail: MJ’s signature and the note “My Very Best – Michael Jordan” printed on the inside ankle of the left shoe.
I hesitated at first since I still have the 2013 retro, but the updated shape, clean leather, and promo pair backstory pulled me in. That $50 off at Shoe Palace sealed the deal!
Packaging also got the special treatment: graphic box lid showing the promo shot of Mike with the pair, special tissue paper, and two sets of laces (black + red).
Materials
Quality’s solid — the leather on these feels better than the average AJ1 GR. Nothing luxury-level, but definitely nice for a Jordan 1 retro. Smooth panels with some give right out the box.
Fit & Comfort
Standard AJ1 fit. True to size, and like other recent retros, they feel a bit more wearable out the gate. Still not a “comfort” sneaker per se, but decent enough for all-day casual wear.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
