The Adidas Superstar ADV x Arrow & Beast marks a clean, understated collaboration with Stuttgart-based skate shop Arrow & Beast, offered in both white and blue colorways that nod to the brand’s roots in Stuttgart and Paris. This white pair keeps things crisp and wearable while still layering in plenty of thoughtful details for those who look closely.
The Superstar itself needs little introduction, and I’ve covered its history on the blog before, but this ADV version modernizes the late-’60s icon for skate use with added padding and durability tweaks. Arrow & Beast put their stamp on the shoe with a basketweave-patterned upper, green zig-zag stitching beneath the backtab and along the tongue tags, and co-branding throughout. You’ll find the Arrow & Beast logo on the tongue tag and left insole, “Stuttgart” printed inside the tongue, and a green-and-white graphic on the insole that ties the story together without overwhelming the classic Superstar look.
I’ve been branching out across brands lately and realized Adidas had been missing from the rotation for a while, so this felt like a nice pickup to help build that back up. I love the basketweave texture on these, something not seen on kicks too often. The all-white execution makes them insanely versatile on foot. Toss in the fact that the Superstar is a timeless silhouette – and that I grabbed these for around $85 shipped from Premier Skate – and it was an easy pickup.
The shoes come in a black and yellow Adidas box and include two sets of laces: standard white, plus white laces with green piping to match the subtle accents on the upper.
Materials
The upper features a woven suede texture that feels elevated compared to a standard Superstar, paired with smooth leather Three Stripes, eyelets, backtab, liner, and tongue tag. For a skate-focused Adidas release at this price point, the materials are genuinely impressive and feel well thought out rather than purely utilitarian.
Fit & Comfort
These fit true to size with more padding than a traditional Superstar, giving them a sturdier, skate-ready feel. Comfort is solid for casual wear and a few hours on foot, especially considering the model’s vintage roots. Not an all-day walking shoe, but more than comfortable enough for everyday use.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
