I’m not quite done with the Premium AM1s yet. These Nike Air Max 1 Premium Snow Beach are a must-have for me.
They’re based off the old “Snow Beach” Ralph Lauren / Polo jackets and related attire. Seeing as I rock a fair amount of Polo myself, I’m all over these kicks!
I think these can be versatile, insofar as you can either wear a more muted outfit to let them shine or go with a more flamboyant outfit to play up the colorfulness. I recommend some dark denim with these, some ‘Lo if you got it and don’t be afraid to match the red or yellow (just don’t overdo it).
Overall I’m stoked on these! I definitely had to dig out some of my older Polo gear and see if I could fit it into an outfit with these. Also, the colors totally remind me of Ghostface Killah’s Ironman album cover. Any fan of either PRL or AM1 should definitely look into these!
How Are The Materials?
The materials on these are nice! I’d say the leather is softer, more pliable and overall better than that found on other premium pairs like the Ridgerocks. The rest of the shoe is a nylon type material which is evocative of the old “jacket” look. Adding to this theme are the metal eyelets. One complaint on QC is the Nike branding on the back of one side is a little crooked. But other than that, very well put together shoe!
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Air Max 1 Premium Snow Beach fit true to size with a decent level of comfort. The less stiff, more flexible leather mentioned earlier gives these a bit more give and a faster break-in time.
