For the 25th anniversary of the Air Max 90, Nike went in with multiple releases displaying various takes on the “infrared” color scheme. They’ve given this pair the Air Max 90 OG moniker.
While I’m not certain that these are actually part of that drop, they still look like they belong with the rest of the anniversary pack thanks to the colorway. The black portions of the uppers are mesh while the grey parts are suede and the white parts are leather. The materials here are nothing special – in fact this pair is fairly basic as far as quality is concerned.
These come packaged with black laces and a Nike Hangtag.
I picked these up because I like how Nike flipped the Infrared 90 colorway into something pleasing to the eye. Sometimes flips on old colorways work and sometimes they don’t, but it definitely works here and these look fresh on foot in addition to the comfort factor. I’m still a little confused as to how a sneaker like this would get the “OG” designation, but for whatever reason, it’s right there on the box: “Air Max 90 OG”.
