The Vans Sk8 Hi Reissue 10 oz Canvas in Verdant Green is definitely a dope shoe that looks great on foot. The design is simple, however the look is classic and I have no doubt people will not be hating on your footwear if you are rocking these.
There’s not much else to say about these other than that they are easy to wear and very comfortable. The shoes are basically all 10 oz canvas except for the Vans stripe on the side in leather. The canvas is super durable and gives these a rugged feel, without being stiff.
These come with the white laces shown, typical for this color blocking on the Sk8 Hi. It can get annoying lacing these up, similar to the Nike Blazer or any other high top with a lot of eyelets.
The only issue I have with Sk8 His in general is the comfort. While not uncomfortable, they don’t excel in this area either. They’re wearable, but there’s far better casual sneakers out there as far as comfort goes.
My thoughts on the Vans Sk8 Hi
I’m a big fan of these. Back in the day, this was probably my favorite Vans model. I feel like the Verdant Green colorway is another great example of quality canvas that basically gives Vans fans a someone “Converse Chuck Taylor” vibe. I do think that comfort is a factor, and if you are looking for optimal comfort, these might not be your best bet, but they will suffice overall.
You may not stand out necessarily in a sneaker like this, however sometimes its better to have something fresh on feet while still maintaining a low key vibe. This is definitely a great shoe for that purpose.
